Amy Butler Kimono PJ set for Pearl!

Yay! It's my first ever blog post! Well, here goes....
I have been recovering from recent gallbladder surgery, but have still found the time to sew. I recently bought a copy of Amy Butler's "Little Stitches for Little Ones" and have been dieing to try one of her gorgeous patterns. I decided to give the Kimono PJ a whirl for my youngest daughter Pearl (3 1/2 months old!). I managed to pull it together in two evenings. LOVE it! I am very pleased with this one. Pearl of course loves it too:) I used my favourite fabric from Patty Young's "Flora & Fauna" collection. All in all, it was a super easy sew. The pattern instructions were a tad wordy at times with little diagramming (I am a very visual person!), but after re-reading them a few times, they were alright. The book does have great project ideas. If only the Kimono PJ came in a 2T size:( I made the 3-6 month size and it just fits. However, I did use tracing paper so that I am able to make this one again for Pearl in a bigger size! Hmmmmm.......maybe some matching booties next?
